Inspired by the Human Potential Movement of the 1960-1970’s, Second Star is an intentional community whose mission is to help guide humanity to a complete understanding of Love and Openness. Our community supports this mission by empowering radical self expression, progressive systems redesign, conscious entrepreneurship, vulnerability practices, and lifestyle improvement in a fully sustainable and cooperative environment. Our goal: embody Heartful living.
Located in the Redwood Forest of Pescadero/Butano State Park, our private base-camp features a main lodge, 2 cabins, a yurt, a glamping tent, a camping meadow for tents and RVs, a swimming pool, campfire pits, and a hot tub. Although it might feel like you’re deep in the forest, we’re only ten minutes from the beach, one hour and fifteen minutes from San Francisco, forty-five minutes from Santa Cruz, and an hour and a half from Monterey.

Join a diverse group of 9-13 other individuals and become a live-in member of Second Star for 6 months as we explore what it means to live in community, re-connect to the Earth, and build conscious businesses together. Second Star could be looked at as an incubator, a “think tank”, where we live together and co-work on our own individual businesses, helping each other expand and thrive along the way. We strive to live a Heartful lifestyle, so expect yoga, meditation, ecstatic dance, creative expression, and communication practices to be a regular part of your day. Enjoy monthly workshops, where we open up the property to our communities-at-large and create unique transformational offerings. Come live with us surrounded by beautiful nature and find peace while we work on creating our new reality together.
Who You Are:
Passionate about self-examination, personal development, mindfulness practices, spirituality, and community-building.
An entrepreneur with a successful online business where you can be remote and still contribute to the wellbeing of your clients.
Financially stable- must have a solid monthly income.
Hopeful about the future and desire to have a positive impact on the individual and collective level.
Value intelligence, curiosity, integrity, and open-mindedness.
Are laid-back and easy-going, but not lazy or messy.
Have experience living in community or at least have developed healthy communication skills.
